# Signatures

> Create signing envelopes, manage signatories, and download executed documents.

**Requires the eSigning entitlement.** Available on Origin paid, Edge, Vertex, and Zenith.

## Create a signing envelope

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Signatures or a document">
    Go to **Signatures** in the sidebar, or open a document and click **Send for signature**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add the document">Select the document to include in the envelope.</Step>

  <Step title="Add signatories">
    Add signatories from the matter party list or enter names and email addresses manually.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose signing order">Select sequential or parallel signing.</Step>
  <Step title="Send">Review the envelope and click **Send**.</Step>
</Steps>

## Sequential vs parallel signing

**Sequential** signing requires each signatory to sign in order. The next person receives the envelope only after the previous signatory completes.

**Parallel** signing sends the envelope to all signatories at once. Any order of completion is accepted.

## Reminders

Largence sends automatic reminders to signatories who have not signed. Adjust the reminder cadence in the envelope settings before sending.

## Declining to sign

A signatory can decline to sign. They must provide a reason. The envelope status updates to reflect the decline and the matter team is notified.

## Tamper-evident audit trail

Every action on a signing envelope is recorded: sent, viewed, signed, declined, and completed. The audit trail includes timestamps, IP addresses, and document hashes. This record supports evidential weight if the signature is challenged.

## Download executed documents

When all signatories complete, download the executed document and the completion certificate from the envelope detail page.

## DocuSign and Adobe Sign

Coming soon. This integration is not yet available. For firms already on DocuSign or Adobe Sign, Largence will support sending envelopes via the connected provider instead of native signing.
